Nobody has an issue with you walking into the woods with little to no prep...and RETURNING. As someone who used to be a firefighter, the issue is that walking into the woods with little to no prep, means that there is an extremely high likelihood that you'll need to be rescued. This of course puts a lot of other lives in danger (during the rescue or recovery operation) because you decided to not be prepared.
