I support the removal of the bus. McCandless’s tale is a cautionary one. Monuments to the unprepared shouldn’t be beacons for more of the same to follow. I’m all for freedom, including freedom to fail. But living in an area with regular fatalities due to lack of experience, preparedness, and planning, removing unnecessary beacons is a worthwhile effort.
