- divbzero 6y agoThere is truth to this and it runs deep in the DNA of the two companies. On stage years ago [1] [2] Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were asked what they wish they had learned sooner that the other guy did first. Gates ventured that he would give a lot to have Steve’s taste. Jobs responded that he wish he were as good as Bill at partnering with others. These were more than off-the-cuff compliments. They speak to Apple’s DNA as a design company focused on UX, and Microsoft’s DNA as a platforms company.
