Even though it was quarantined, the mods eventually killed it themselves by restricting who can post.
It's likely they're trying to move the userbase to another subreddit.
- totony 6y agoFrom what I've seen, reddit's policy is to quarantine a subreddit and warn the admin to moderate more heavily "or be banned". My guess is they did this to ensure reddit wouldn't ban the subreddit and wipe out its whole history (at least that's what I'd do if faced with such a situation).
