- kinkrtyavimoodh 6y agoMeet is a GSuite product, and the only video-conferencing app in GSuite. Google doesn't fuck with GSuite.
- potatoketchup 6y agoexcept AppMaker
- ericlewis 6y agoAnd all of Gsuite
- BrandoElFollito 6y agoI have to remind this to myself when I see features available for free which are not ported to GSuite (parental control, google assistant for home users, reminders, inbox in the past (it took I think a year to port it)
- kinkrtyavimoodh 6y agoAnd the reasons it takes time to port those features is because Google respects GSuite's privacy promises.
- BrandoElFollito 6y agoWhat do you mean? How porting, say, Inbox has anything to do with privacy? This is the same codebase.
- kinkrtyavimoodh 6y agoThere were other examples in the list too. "Parental controls, google assistant for home users, reminders"... a lot of these are difficult to do because GSuite data is extremely siloed and almost designed to be not easily interoperable with other Google products. This is entirely for privacy reasons.
