In my opinion, React is one of the few libraries out there where the gains from using it is much larger than the effort needed to learn it. It has a relatively small API, more so now that you can get a lot done with just function components. In return, once you grok the whole "components as a function of state" concept, designing data models and designing app components becomes very simple. I really like react, and I'm glad to see other environments adopting a React-like approach to UI development (Apple's SwiftUI and Android's Jetpack Compose, to name two)
