We're finding exoplanets at an incredible rate. See NASA's Exoplanet Archive (https://exoplanetarchive.ipac.caltech.edu/ https://exoplanetarchive.ipac.caltech.edu/) for the current 4164 known exoplanets.

- snapetom 6y agoHate to be a Debbie Downer, but Proxima Centauri B is likely not habitable due to its star blowing away its atmosphere. https://phys.org/news/2018-04-proxima-centauri-flare-powerful-visible.html https://phys.org/news/2018-04-proxima-centauri-flare-powerfu...

- icey 6y agoI can't wait for the James Webb Space Telescope to launch -- really excited to see what we've been blind to so far. Sadly, it's been delayed again due to COVID-19 (it was most recently scheduled for March of next year), but _whenever_ it launches it's sure to bring us eye-popping new images of space.
- _Microft 6y agoBug report for https://orbitalindex.com/ https://orbitalindex.com/ : In desktop Firefox 77.0.1, the page can be scrolled (i.e. the scrollbar is moving) for pages without anything happening. It took me a moment to notice that a content section can be pulled in from the right side. Disabling sanity-saving addons (ad-/tracking blockers) did not make a difference.
