I had anaphylaxis after accidentally eating something with peanuts in it and went to the hospital. I was given* Decadron (brand name dexamethasone) among other things, eventually I was fine and went home later that evening. The next day I got out of bed and pretty much fell over. I could barely stand up. Wife took me to the hospital again, it turns out I had a reaction to dexamethasone. Definitely not something to play around with. *I don't recall if it was a pill or an injection. Probably injected, since I had trouble swallowing.
