Anything less than 8TB is SMR, that's what I read in various places. All of my 3TB ones where. 2 failed in a RAID 6 in the same week.

- milofeynman 6y agoNot accurate. Some older reds are CMR. See the comment above. It depends on what model and how long ago you bought them.
