I'm sure the people who made this decision at github will lay their heads on their luxury goose down pillows tonight thinking they've done their part to make the world just a little bit better. In reality, they didn't actually help anyone, they've set the stage for coding/machine related headaches for years to come, and they've made themselves look like idiots. On the other hand, fascinating to see the power of a modern angry mob in action.
