Competitions that allow external data are at least partially explicitly about that. If they weren't they wouldn't allow external data (which is not exactly uncommon on kaggle).
- amitport 6y agoThey're explicit that this data should be shared. Obviously aiming for it to not be a part of unique contribution of the contender. They may not provide a tight enough statement about that, but it is fairly clear.
