I use vimium[1] to close most pop-ups by typing "f" and then hitting the letter that pops up next to the close button. If that doesn't work, I use a bookmarkle

I use vimium[1] to close most pop-ups by typing "f" and then hitting the letter that pops up next to the close button. If that doesn't work, I use a bookmarklet called "Remove Sticky"[2]. I type "bre" and hit enter when sticky things pop up to get them gone.
