Why does he call it "Google Mail"? Isn't "Gmail" the official name (and the mostly widely used one)?
- Macha 6y agoIn many countries such as the UK (where the author is from) and Germany it was called Google Mail due to trademark disputes with local companies that had the Gmail name first. I think they've sorted most of these with licensing agreements or just buying the rights for the name, but a lot of UK people still have @googlemail addresses even.
