I suspect two of these lines are more important than others:
> import json
> import yaml
- miraculixx 6y agoyes, see installation one-line command, as a comment below the gist
- app4soft 6y agoTo be honest, your reader is not "in less than 100 lines of Python code" because you use external Python libs.
- Spivak 6y agoCan you use built-in libs and have it still count? Can you use anything other than built-in functions? Python itself uses quite a few external libs too and Python itself is also an external dependency. You can make a useful thing by only adding 100 lines of glue to existing libraries is still a useful thing.
- jmmcd 6y agoWe've had these discussions many times. Of course it makes sense to use libraries. For me, what stood out in this submission was that none of the 100 lines are talking about markup. Thus what we have here is 100 lines of front-end and tests.
- miraculixx 6y agoYes, however it still does what the headline said. The point being its small and useful
- miraculixx 6y agoYeah I know real programmers write binary machine code in large strings of 0 and 1 :)
- app4soft 6y agoYeah, something like: > I just invented terminal web browser in two lines of Shell code! #!/bin/sh links2
- miraculixx 6y agoNot at all More like I'm tired to write 20 lines of code each time I have some object or a file that needs parsing, and it can be any kind of markup
