In my data science org, virtually NO ONE joining new prefers MacBook Pros because of the lack of CUDA. Yes production workflows run on cloud and you can spin up notebooks on the cloud but having the flexibility of CUDA in your laptop for dev is just really high. People who joined with Macs are trading in for more powerful Windows machines
