I really don’t know the answer to that. The latency wasn’t noticeable for me but I’m in SF. Breakout was coming from us-east-1. I believe traffic will always go via Twilio anyway but I don’t know if they have a multi region setup. Interesting data point the “home network” on the SIMs we used was Telefonica.
