DevOps and SRE friends – can you give me 10 seconds of your time please?

When you were being interviewed for your current position (DevOps Engineer or SRE), how were you asked to prove you could do the job? Specifically, did you have to prove you could troubleshoot/debug environments? Did you have to whiteboard code, or diagnose a live system etc? Cheers!
