Reading Ebert's Great Movies site was hugely formative for me. I also love that he's low-key one of the best writers about addiction and recovery. Side note: A colleague who worked at the Sun-Times when Ebert also did recently told me about how whenever management threatened cuts, he'd come into the newsroom to throw his weight around against it.
