That is a very honest spectogram. On the positive side, this is yet another resounding victory for psychoacoustics and the human model of hearing, since it seems that the average Tidal user didn't notice this problem merely with their ears, and it took a spectogram to be sure.
- ycombinete 6y agoAbsolutely. I’ve done tons of blind ab tests on my self, using flacs that I ripped myself, converted to various levels of MP3. (I used a Foobar2000 plugin for the tests) I have never once been able to reliably identify FLAC vs 320kbps MP3.
