Do we have any way to know whether or not these are directional?
- aruggirello 6y agoAFAIK, not directly. The only way possible would be to observe one behind a gravitational lens. That would appear as multiple sources, allowing us to observe the object from slightly different directions, confirming that the flashes are indeed at least cone-shaped. Edit: clarified
