Good content sells. But you need to understand that whether you make it or not, also comes down to marketing - there are TONS of channels on youtube with world class content, but only a few hundred views on each video. On other hand, there's garbage content / funnel vids with hundreds of thousands of views. Big difference is that the last guy poured all his money on production and marketing. As the saying goes, takes money to make money. Other than that - one needs to be somewhat consistent with releasing stuff. You want people to actually follow your channel, and make a habit of watching / looking forward to your vids.
