>Guidelines suggest aiming rubber bullets at legs or bouncing them off the ground to reduce their impact
How can they be serious with giving a guide line such as bouncing it off of the ground to hit an intended target as a means of harm reduction. This sounds absurd no?
- falcolas 6y agoMore absurd than the current reality of cops aiming at people’s faces? At least a bounced round will have less kinetic energy. That won’t make it more accurate, but it does make headshots harder.
- thomastjeffery 6y agoMy understanding is that was their original intended use. It is absurd.
- sonofgod 6y agoThe quote from the original HTML page is incorrect and dangerous misinformation. From the linked PDF: > KINETIC IMPACT WEAPONS > 8.5.4 Skip-firing off the ground causes an unacceptable risk of serious injury.
