Ask HN: Landing page to test multiple segments at the same time?

Let's say I have a product that is "generally useful", and I have several potential market segments to go after. A single landing page seems too generic, I can't get specific with the messaging or workflow. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Thoughts on having multiple sub-pages? Multiple domains? A single landing page to test one segment at a time? Would appreciate any pointers.
