- dao- 6y ago> its telemetry to Google What does this even mean?
- power78 6y agoIt's nonsense. I don't understand all these people ripping on Firefox for absolutely ridiculous reasons. Lack of MIDI support for a 6 year old? Being upset Firefox uses telemetry to improve their product? A minor difference in developer tool design? HN sure has become filled with negativity instead of constructive criticism.
- sneak 6y ago> Being upset Firefox uses telemetry to improve their product? Being upset Firefox co-opts the user's own computer and network connection to spy on them, violating consent, to benefit Mozilla/Firefox's product development efforts. That's not ridiculous. That's a human rights violation.
- dimator 6y agoWhy do you need to mitm it if it's all open source?
