- ClumsyPilot 6y agoIt appears US police kills more people than police in Russia, or is roughly on par. Most years police in UK kills zero. Do you want to compete with authoritarian states in number of deaths caused by police?
- SamReidHughes 6y agoThere were ten cases of unarmed black Americans killed by police in 2019. Which of those killings do you disagree with?
- ClumsyPilot 6y agoDo you understand that US police kills people at a rate thats totally unseen outside of dictatorships and bana republics? Not just black people - white people, asians, there is no demographic who's deathrate is acceptable for a developed nation. Why is that? Either us police is out control, or you have some sort of mass-criminal-psycosis going on over there, and it stops at the canadian border. You want to go case by case? Explain how can police kill a woman sleeping in her house. To me this is unbelievable. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1205651 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna12...
- SamReidHughes 6y agoYes, I want you to go case by case, and understand what most of them are like, instead of picking just those that are examples of bad policing. > Either us police is out control, or you have some sort of mass-criminal-psycosis going on over there, Why not both? We do have police problems. We also have mass criminal psychosis. (Just look at the news recently...)
- ramblenode 6y ago> Which of those killings do you disagree with? Wouldn't it be nice if there were an independent review board to look over mandatory body cam footage from an incident so we don't have to have speculative internet debates over what happened? And fair legal recourse for victims of officers who break the law so that people don't feel the need to seek out justice on their own?
