How about starting with 3x the sentence of a normal citizen for breaking the same rules?
- Mirioron 6y agoI'm not sure that increasing the punishment would help. They need to actually be punished for breaking the rules. Not sometimes, but every time they break those rules.
- NotSammyHagar 6y agoI advocate we make a specific law that witnessing a felony action by a fellow police officer and not reporting it become a chargeable offense on its own. We also make it illegal to not make the officer investigations private after some threshold, like 5 diff cases. I get that there are false accusations but they have too much power and we need to go the other way.
- abootstrapper 6y agoI’d settle for 1x the sentence of a normal citizen. Right now they can literally get away with murder. Not to mention infractions like drinking and driving and speeding, that they let each other off for.
