There are usually a lot of food regulations, fees, kitchen requirements, etc. if you're selling food in any kind of quantity. Is the lasagna venture profitable with all of that factored in? A couple friends of mine have attempted various food-oriented businesses and the margins have consistently been pretty awful.
- muzani 6y agoIt does, and I say this from someone who has sold various food-oriented businesses before. It's not the case with most other food types, but lasagna is in the sweet spot for us. It's not a "luxury" item like a latte. It has enough nutrition for people to justify buying it whenever they're too lazy to cook for their kids. It's not something everyone's mom knows how to cook. It can be done with cheap ingredients. It probably wouldn't be the case in a Western country.
