Ask HN: Distributed cognition automated workflow suggestions
Does anyone have an automated workflow to suggest that keeps a searchable record of what they have read on the internet?
Goal 1: easily (ideally entirely automated, ie not a web-clipper) keep a living record of what I have read and engaged with on the internet on iOS (mobile is where I do 95% of my reading).
Goal 2: make the text content of what I have actually read (not what I hope to read, ie Instapaper/Pocket/RIL saves) available for easy search.
Goal 3: pay as little subscription fees as possible to accomplish goal 1&2 / remove dependency on software providers like Evernote or Pocket which partially accomplish goal 1&2. Willing to pay for automated solutions though.
Goal 4: prepare for the tech future where having such a database may be integrated into daily life potentially via AR/VR.
Kinda like how happy I am with my 15-years-ago self for switching to a password manager and unique passwords on all websites. That recommendation from my little brother set me up well for the future. Now I want to prepare for my advancing age and inevitable memory decline.
All responses appreciated.
