Because what you mean and what the closest syntactically correct program to what you typed are two very different things.
- qayxc 6y agoRight? I bet it's the very same people that complain about JavaScript doing exactly that and are then surprised as to why their code doesn't do what it's supposed to...
- bluedino 6y agoXcode is pretty good at figuring out what you should have done whether you did it the right way or not. Surprised me a bit at first.
- buzzkillington 6y agoSo is GCC. The point is you still need to look at where the error is because the closest syntactically correct program to what you wrote is probably not the program you wanted to write.
