I just discovered this some days ago through a blog (https://www.crackedthecode.co/how-to-use-your-dslr-as-a-webcam-in-linux/ https://www.crackedthecode.co/how-to-use-your-dslr-as-a-webc...) and it worked out quite well. However I did not yet find a way to control the depth of field through aperture in live view because it's always fully open.
