snapd is a service, therefore it requires an init system.
- _emacsomancer_ 6y agoSo? systemd isn't the only daemon-manager.
- simosx 6y agoIs the question whether snapd require an init, or whether snapd should be packaged to work with more init systems?
- _emacsomancer_ 6y agoThe point is that a "universal packages for Linux" system shouldn't have a hard dependency on systemd in particular. systemd isn't Linux.
