- sebg 18y agoAgreed, for me it's always disappointing to find articles on HN from sites like nytimes, cnn, or their competitors.
- noonespecial 18y agoI'm actually going to have to agree here even though I'm usually a little annoyed by the whole "off topic" stream that so often emerges. While interesting in its own right, the story does not fit the profile of what I come to HN to find. I see this stuff on Google news on my way to HN. I'd hate to think of Hacker news being replaced in any large percentage by public interest news. No upvote here. An interesting story that was legitimately off topic.
