In the UK (and most other countries), a 25% markup is outrageous. In the US, a 500% markup is pretty common. I don’t understand how this is not competed away. Y

In the UK (and most other countries), a 25% markup is outrageous. In the US, a 500% markup is pretty common. I don’t understand how this is not competed away. Yes, CVS offers convenience, but not more convenience than offered by a corner Tesco in the UK, which has very competitive prices.
