Overall it _was_ very difficult! Apple's documentation and sample code for CoreMediaIO DAL (virtual camera) plugins are terrible. I just brute forced it for hours trying all sorts of different combinations of things before I got something to work.
- andrekandre 6y agothis is fantastic, i wish i had your example when i worked on mine (closed source)... it was the same for me, total brute force ... and apples examples are in c++ but i ended up doing it using straight c out of frustration since thier (c++) examples were so convoluted
- johnboiles 6y agoVery very convoluted. I found it near impossible to read.
