TWRP doesn't work on Android 10

I've vouched for this comment, because if it were that easy to disprove it where is the counter-example of a working Android 10 TWRP setup? Sure, there's some work happening in the TWRP repos, but I can't figure out does that mean TWRP works on Android 10 or not. https://gerrit.twrp.me/plugins/gitiles/android_bootable_recovery/+log/refs/heads/android-10.0 https://gerrit.twrp.me/plugins/gitiles/android_bootable_reco...

It depends on what android version your phone had. You cannot flash TWRP on phones that came with 10 by default (there might be few workarounds). Mine came with 8.0 and I flashed it later.
