Vinyl enthusiasts swear it's better, but most people don't want to spend hundreds of dollars and hours of time researching and tweaking settings. Coming from someone who would've been a musician pre-digital era, I think 95% as good is good enough for most folks, they don't need the real thing or the luxury good by a expert artist if it'll cost them 10X the money for an incremental improvement.
