I wouldn't agree with that. Nothing has changed. You should still ask yourself why am I using this in my context. Could save yourself a lot of trouble and make more money. If we were to follow SpaceX we would also be using C#, knockout.js and labview for everything.

To be fair, I can't think of anything better than LabVIEW for rapid prototyping and development of complex sensor interfaces.
