I love this idea. I've been jury-rigging this functionality in Affinity designer for a while: I can never remember where particular commands lie in the menu system so I click on the help menu, search and activate from there. If this can do the same thing with a couple fewer clicks/ key strokes then I'm in.
Aside: My first computer job, back in the 90's was working at a "computer drafting" office. We'd take engineering drawings and architectural plans (hand drawn of course) and convert them in to digital form (using Radraft on SPARCstations). After the first couple of weeks everybody ditched the mouse/ digitising tablet and did all the drawing using keyboard input -- this was partly a reflection of how crappy the mice were (early optical things that had to be used on a metal mouse mat) but more to do with the speed and precision offered by keyboard input for expert users.
I'm all for GUIs but having a way to drive software -- even design software -- from the keyboard is something I really miss.
