I guess the hopes of the Keybase acquisition leading to better privacy in Zoom are dead.
- malka 6y agoIt just lead to keybase's death.
- corobo 6y agoKeybase died when they added bitcoins or whatever it was. Zoom kicked the corpse.
- bjoli 6y agoWhy so dramatic? I understand the will to use zoom for free, but why should they care much for someone not paying? Video conferencing is still mostly not p2p, which means they are giving away a lot of bandwidth for free to a lot of people. If you have extra requirements, why not pay? The acquisitions and hires they have made has made sense if what they are aiming for is making a more secure and private service. I don't doubt their intention. What I don't understand is why people expect them to provide all benefits for free. Edit: does any service to multi-party e2e conferencing? What trade-offs are there?
