I guess the point with bats is that staying out of sunlight as they do created the conditions that led to a virus like covid being able to take root. As a result of a technology addiction, humans started living in their own caves, and also became susceptible to the same kinds of disease as a result. Maybe I'm projecting my own experiences... It seems that people in general have stayed indoors more as technology got cheaper and widespread.
