- selimthegrim 6y agoThe Seattle PD tried this during the 2001 Mardi Gras riots. It earned the police chief (Kerlikowske) a higher level position
- oblio 6y agoSo they didn't try, they succeeded.

- oblio 6y agoAh, it wasn't clear from the phrasing. I thought he got promoted for being "tough on crime".
