I've been sort of abusing it since it became available to the point that I won't even consider buying any electronics over 200$ that I can not return or atleast test in advance until I'm sure I'll be satisfied with the purchase. But you are right, where I'm from (Romania) people look at me in disbelief when I suggest it, thinking that the companies will punish them if they do it when that's not really true.
