The issue is saying the Martin Luther King, a cultural icon of black civil rights, needed a "bad cop" to get his message across, in the context of violent riots against cops casually killing black people. I get it's just semantics. If you don't get why the semantics are extremely unpalatable to others... that's probably not good.
