This demonstrates the superiority GM's Super Cruise approach. They have interior cameras that make sure the driver is looking forward (you're allowed to look away for brief periods). Tesla only forces you to keep one hand applying some pressure to the wheel - you could easily be on your phone with your other hand. GM's approach is much more relaxing and prevents accidents like this. That being said, there's no reason Tesla can't easily adopt this approach in the future.
