- 6gvONxR4sf7o 6y agoIt's easy to write strict code in haskell, but the default behavior affects community norms, and what's considered standard and idiomatic. That's where I think the evolution could have been different.
- massysett 6y agoHaskell would never have been strict by default, because the entire point of Haskell was to be a common basis for research into non-strict languages. Non-strictness is simply the core of what Haskell is.
