Fine needle aspiration is not part of the diagnostic decision tree for breast cancer. If you have concerning findings on self exam or diagnostic mammography, core biopsy is the study of choice.
- RMerzouki 6y agoThanks for your comment do you have some statistics about that ? Or is it just your opinion ? As a matter of fact I used a well known dataset from a serious institution - Wisconsin Hospital of Madison University - meaning the fine needle aspiration is something that helps in breast cancer diagnosis. Besides, the fine needle aspiration is cheaper than biopsy.
