Say you have transactions in Stripe, besides building the system to store the transactions in-house if you need, you also have to connect to their webhook to pull the data. Then you need to compute the usage of your saas, you can also do that on Decimals, just use the currency of your app (MB, GB, events, etc), now you have payments and usage in a single consistent store, and so on.
