- mullingitover 6y agoIdeally, an educated citizenry would have the critical thinking skills and the ability to research, but absent that the social media corps are doing their best to help (albeit ham-handedly). The alternative is what, the government? The very first amendment to the constitution explicitly forbids the government from interfering with the press.

- cafard 6y agoWe subscribe to two newspapers, we have a number of broadcast channels of TV and radio available. In every case, the news and opinion are coming from corporations. To be sure, the wild internet offers a great number of non-corporate sources of news. But that offers its difficulties also.
