They also stopped the clinical trials (a huge mistake IMO, because like this we keep the question on prophylaxis unanswered): luckily the large RCT in the UK did not just look at Lancet, but they evaluated their own safety data and decided to go on (to be fair, they're also evaluating other drugs).

- sp332 6y agoFrom that link: A UK regulator said on Wednesday that a separate trial was also being put on hold, less than a week after it started. Also: Medicines agencies in France and Italy said the drug should not be used for COVID-19 outside clinical trials. So it looks like the UK stopped a trial and France did not?
