Besides the pricing, the other painful thing about Firebase are the storage rules. Given I understand you want to give maximum control to frontend developers without having a backend, the fact that I need to reimplement them if I switch serverless is an absolute pain. What are your plan regarding this aspect. Where are we going to implement the business logic?
- databrecht 6y agoDid you check FaunaDB by any chance? I'm wondering whether their ABAC systems + UDFs would satisfy your needs.
- InvOfSmallC 6y agoI will check it thanks! Although the authentication seems too manual. That part I prefer firebase.
- databrecht 6y agoThanks, that's valuable feedback :) We indeed are currently providing a lot of building blocks that can solve a wide range of scenarios but did not focus too much yet (until now) on providing easy out-of-the-box combinations of those building blocks that just solve a specific scenario.
- InvOfSmallC 6y agoI decided to give it a shot any way. It seems cool.
